Liner Notes
Six Years of Summer is a pop-punk revival anthem for the heartbroken. A nostalgic ode to a love that once burned bright but has since faded into memory. Heavily inspired by the iconic sounds of Blink-182, this song captures the raw emotions of a breakup that lingers long after the dust has settled. After a painful and messy breakup with my high-school sweetheart, I found myself haunted by lingering regrets and a yearning for the carefree days when we'd spend our time listening to pop-punk bands and going to beach parties. After six long years of silence between us, I decided to reach out to my former flame and attempt to salvage a friendship from the ruins of our past. I envisioned us exchanging apologies and moving on from the pain we'd caused each other. Unfortunately, my efforts were met with a cold response, a stark reminder that our paths had forever diverged. As she severed the last remaining ties to our shared past, I was left with a heart full of what-ifs and the sobering revelation that sometimes even the deepest connections can't withstand the passage of time. So I wrote Six Years of Summer as an artful reminder of the fleeting nature of relationships and the enduring anguish of unsaid words. It's a song that I hope will resonate with anyone who has ever experienced the pain of a lost love and who yearns for a bygone era.

Lyrics
Six years of summer came to pass And still all ties to me you sever Are you okay? I never got to ask Oh, you and I are Meant to be together Forever (and ever) I'm sorry for how it all went down And if you should ever come around I'll be waiting for you Ready to concede It seams the one thing you've got Is the only thing I need To go on and on And on and on This time This time I'm the fool and You've been so cruel But everything I do I still wanna do with you So let me hold you close and Take off all your clothes I'm trying to be strong I'm trying to move on I miss you And all the things we'd do Like listen To Blink-182 I still see your ghost when I lose myself in reverie But she's fading away I'm losing every memory And in my dreams she calls to me and says Tell me Tell me the truth Is this the life you'd choose? Are these the words you'd use If you were in my shoes? Can we apologize and forgive all the lies Or am I just a fool For thinking you'd be cool? On and on And on and on This time This time I'm the fool and You've been so cruel Still everything I do I just wanna do with you So let me hold you close and Take off all your clothes I'm trying to be strong But we don't get along Can we apologize and Forgive all the lies? I'm trying to be strong I'm trying to move on One two three four! I know you don't love me anymore But I just wanted you to know I miss you Five four three two One last time I'm reaching out to you 'Cause I just wanted you to know I miss you One two three four! I know you don't love me anymore But I just wanted you to know I miss you Five four three two One last time I'm reaching out to you 'Cause I just wanted you to know I miss you One two three four! I know you don't love me anymore But I just wanted you to know I miss you Five four three two One last time I'm reaching out to you 'Cause I just wanted you to know I miss you
